Nita Downey

Nita is a paralegal for Wiener & Gale P.C. and has been in the real estate business since 1992. She is a native Vermonter, born and raised on a small dairy farm in Starksboro. Upon graduation from high school, Nita joined the Army and spent 13 years serving in the medical field. In 1992, Nita was honorably discharged from the service and changed careers, entering the legal field with the law firm of Wick & Maddocks. She joined Marc Wiener, P.C., now known as Wiener & Gale, P.C. in April of 1995. Nita’s experience includes preparation of legal documents, bankruptcy petition, title work, deeds, title insurance, closing documents, disbursement of funds, and post closing review. She has worked with all of the local banks and mortgage companies as well as many out of state lenders and relocation companies in preparation of smooth, efficient and professional transactions.

Nita currently resides in Starksboro, with her husband Joe and their youngest child, Joseph, their Rottweiller, Jack and their cat, Max. They have four older children, two daughters-in-law and one granddaughter. She is an avid baseball (Yankees), football (Cowboys), hockey (Red Wings) and Nascar (Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson) fan.
